Page 1 of 4 Our approach is very flexible, and the days will reflect this. The idea is to try and explore things with our senses. Most of the children will not have received a formal education and so keeping it sense-orientated and physical will help ensure they do not feel worried or uncomfortable. We want to give the children a chance to try out all the different activities, but if they enjoy one more than another, then we will stay in that area for longer. Through playing, and working in this way, in surroundings they are familiar with, we hope they will feel an increase of confidence in themselves. We are not trying to make them forget where they are or who they are, but show that within their environment it’s possible to enjoy themselves and feel happy. Hopefully at least some of that feeling will remain after we leave. And then finally…we’ll clean-up and say goodbye, but we hope that we’ll have left plenty of happy memories behind. There are three main areas of activity: Art, music, and circus. |
